Back to the Future, the section of Artissima for the rediscovery of artists from the past, has now reached its 10th year. A responsible, conscious look to the past as an indispensable matrix for experimentation in the present – specific to Back to the Future – has set the character of the section ever since its ‘invention’ on the part of Francesco Manacorda in 2010. He will talk about it together with one of the section’s protagonists, Paolo Icaro, presently with a show at the GAM, “Antologia/Anthology 1964-2019”, with Eva Brioschi of Collezione La Gaia and the section’s present coordinator Lorenzo Giusti.
Speakers: Eva Brioschi (historian. critic of art and curator, Collezione La Gaia), Lorenzo Giusti (director, GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Bergamo), Paolo Icaro (artist), Francesco Manacorda (director, V-A-C Foundation, Venezia)
