The talk is for the presentation of the book Economia dell’arte, arte del collezionismo. Cultura, scritture, patrimoni 2013-2021 by Marianna Agliottone, published by Prinp Editions, Torino. The book addresses the focus of collectors on the economic aspects of art. The topics of the dialogue between the author and Giacinto Di Pietrantonio analyse the issue from different perspectives, such as: the costs and budgets with which younger collectors find themselves working, recourse to crowdfunding (where the social and participatory aspect is at least as important as the financial side), the opening of private or institutional exhibition spaces, the specificity of individual collections, the activities connected to the generational transfer of passage of the heritages of art. The cover of the volume was designed by the artist Stefano Cagol.
Speakers: MARIANNA AGLIOTTONE (author of the book, curator, scholar of the phenomena of collecting, Professor of Economics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and Bari); GIACINTO DI PIETRANTONIO (historian, art critic, independent art curator)
