Curating art means looking behind images and works, understanding their technical genesis and conceptual message to be preserved in time and offered as testimony for coming generations. Technology and diagnostics applied to the world of art have made it possible to intervene in a scientific, specific way, improving and speeding up fundamental processes. The talk brings together an artist, a museum conservator and an expert on restoration connected to a case of excellence in education in the territory, applying their experiences to investigate how art curation can become a way of guaranteeing the future of culture.
The talk is supported by Gruppo IRM Indagini e Ricerche Mediche, a private healthcare company with facilities in Pianezza and Torino, collaborating as a partner with Artissima for the first year, with the objective of sustaining the spread of culture.
Speakers: SARA ABRAM (secretary general of Fondazione Centro Conservazione Restauro “La Venaria Reale”); LUISA MENSI (restorer), FRANCESCO PIGNATELLI (artist)
