Two projects created for Venezia with the aim of raising public awareness of environmental issues: Consider yourself as a guest (Cornucopia) by Christian Holstad and Red Regatta by Melissa McGill are presented in Torino during Artissima thanks to the partnership with FPT Industrial and the participation of Mazzoleni. Both projects come to terms with the public sphere in relation to the Venetian context and, more in general, to the problem of pollution of the seas, with a particular focus on the dangers of the indiscriminate use of plastic (Holstad) and on the safeguarding potential represented by local communities (McGill), which had an important impact at a recent UN summit on sustainability, thanks to the commitment of Magazzino Italian Art.
Speakers: Vittorio Calabrese (director, Magazzino Italian Art, New York), Christian Holstad (artist), Melissa McGill (artist). Moderated by Anna Daneri (curator)
