Subdivided into two phases, the encounter examines two strong points of Artissima: the sections Disegni and Present Future. The curators will discuss them, offering an overview of the choices that have led to the selections, together with two of the artists involved. Christiane Löhr, whose research investigates the form in space, through sculptures made with organic materials and drawings, which though abstract “cannot gainsay nature as the guide to all knowledge” (Amine Haase). Namsal Siedlecki talks about his project on ‘wishing fountains’ with the contribution of the historian Lucia Travaini, with Coins: tokens of hopes and emotions. “I will show some ancient and modern ritual contexts in which coins performed the role of personal tokens in the exchange between man and god”.
