Mondi Possibili. Dialoghi tra arte e letteratura

Launched in 2023, IDENTITY is a three-year program designed to highlight the distinctive traits of the fair, developed with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, a long-standing partner of Artissima in creating projects and content aimed at enhancement and innovation.

IDENTITY 2025 presents the project Possible Worlds. Dialogues between art and literature, which shines a spotlight on the central role of the artist through a special schedule of events organized in collaboration with the Fondazione Circolo dei lettori. Three conversations between contemporary artists and writers generate spontaneous, cross-disciplinary dialogues in which the written word and visual art meet, giving voice to the artist and unveiling their creative universe, opening it up to new perspectives and audiences.

The events are conceived to foster knowledge and understanding of contemporary art, with the aim of promoting that distinctive trait of the fair which makes it a dynamic cultural platform, capable of sparking interdisciplinary reflection, generating content, and encouraging participation and dialogue.

The program is structured as follows:

Thursday, October 9, 6:30 pm – Circolo dei lettori
Liliana Moro in conversation with Tommaso Pincio
Liliana Moro, who uses sounds, objects, and essential gestures to create spaces of listening and freedom, engages in dialogue with Tommaso Pincio, an author straddling the worlds of art and literature, who seeks to write as one paints and to paint as one writes. A former gallerist and long-time translator, Pincio joins Moro in exploring the relationships between contemporary art and cultural narration.

Thursday, October 23, 6:30 pm – Circolo dei lettori
Chiara Camoni in conversation with Piersandro Pallavicini
An encounter between artist Chiara Camoni and writer and collector Piersandro Pallavicini, exploring the relationship between art and storytelling. A dialogue that traverses materials, memories, and imaginaries, where artistic practice intertwines with literary vision and a passion for contemporary art.

Saturday, November 1, 6:30 pm – Artissima Meeting Point
Giorgio Andreotta Calò in conversation with Tiziano Scarpa
Giorgio Andreotta Calò and Tiziano Scarpa weave their research together in a profound dialogue between matter and word. Calò’s installations transform landscape, body, and time into experiences that challenge perception, while Scarpa responds with a writing that narrates and reflects on contemporary art. Together, they explore how vision and narration merge, creating a shared story of threshold and transformation.
