Basim Magdy. New Acid

In the setting of Parco Michelotti, inside the former Giardino Zoologico di Torino, in collaboration with Città di Torino Artissima presents a video artwork by the artist Basim Magdy, represented by Hunt Kastner gallery, Prague.

The short film New Acid is screened on the façade of the building that was once the zoo’s giraffe and elephant house. It features animals in a zoo engaging in illogical conversations in an imaginary chat series. They stage a surreal and mysterious dialogue in which they question the fate of their species, addressing an unspecified interlocutor.

For the second consecutive year, C2C Festival curates a site-specific musical selection, inviting visitors to wander randomly through the former zoological garden.
