DucatoPrize is a contemporary art award, founded in 2019 to foster dialogue between emerging and established practices and the territory of the Ducato of Parma and Piacenza. Now in its fifth edition, the prize is structured in two main sections, Contemporary and Academy, and includes acquisition awards as well as residency opportunities in Italy and abroad. The 2025 edition, hosted at Palazzo Farnese in Piacenza from September 20 to November 2, features thirteen finalists selected by an international jury and documented in a publication with critical contributions, interviews, and an overview of the submitted works. The book aims to document the exhibition and highlight the practice of participating artists, serving as an editorial platform to disseminate their research on both national and international levels.
