On Vulnerability. Body as A Journal

Limited in space, bodies are immense in their potentiality. And yet, in the face of crisis – ecological, military, economic and social – of today, it is vulnerability that defines them most. Guest edited by Neringa Černiauskaitė, a writer, curator and a one half in an artistic duo Pakui Hardware, the Body as a Journal issue scrutinized vulnerability in order to show that is often structural, evoked by systemic flaws, rather than personal failures. At the same time, vulnerability presented here is not as something to be anxious about, but as a tool for building community, for transforming rigid structures, for bringing the flesh into theory, and to open up oneself for the other.
