Event Private Collections: a Public Asset

Description

Its tangible and intangible nature makes art an asset which must be not only enjoyed but, most of all, handed down to future generations. In this era, more than in the past, it seems that collectors are called to a brand new and important public responsibility which goes beyond the “simple” act of collecting artworks. A responsibility that is at the heart of Tosetti Value Family office, which makes its knowhow available for the education and logical ordering of the entire patrimony of a family. In connection with Artissima, Tosetti Value wish to open a discussion between influential voices about the primary role of private collectors, in developing and adding value to the marvelous cultural and artistic Italian heritage. This reflection will move from some great examples, such as the “Francesco Federico Cerruti” private collection, recently donated by the entrepreneur to the Museum of Contemporary Art “Castello di Rivoli” and the wide and fine archive of artworks of “Fondazione Massimo and Sonia Cirulli”, in the sign of our country great tradition of Patronage, which dates even to the Fifteenth Century with the Medici family.

Con la partecipazione di: Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (director Castello di Rivoli and GAM, Torino) and Massimo Cirulli (chairman of the Massimo“Fondazione Massimo and Sonia Cirulli”, San Lazzaro di Savena, Bologna), Stefano Baia Curioni (professor, Università Bocconi, Milano). Introduction by: Dario Tosetti (chairman of the Family office “Tosetti Value”, Torino)
