New York City Babe is a child’s height walk through the streets of New York, with music in the mind. The book is based on the practice of location, photographic documentation and editing as a narrative form. Accompanied by a slide show realised by the artist, Davide Ferri and Silvano Manganaro talk of cities, walks, wanderlust, images and of the work of Antonio Rovaldi, who conceived for les cerises a book for a very special public: that of children.

les cerises is a publishing project of silent books commissioned by Angelika Burtscher, Agnese Canziani, Cecilia Canziani and Daniele Lupo who invited artists, designers, architects to make a children’s book for the first time. The books are published as limited editions. Form, material and size are discussed and decided anew with each author, in order to present children with a variety of languages and imageries.
