Artissima is pleased to announce the artists and the galleries that will be taking part in Present Future 2015.

Now in its fifteenth year, Present Future is the special section of Artissima devoted to solo shows of emerging artists which has become a significant platform for new visions and approaches of the contemporary art scene.

 

The Curatorial Committee – composed by Luigi Fassi (coordinator), visual art curator, steirischer herbst festival, Graz, Fatima Hellberg, artistic director, Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Lara Khaldi, independent curator, Ramallah and Amsterdam, Natalia Sielewicz, art historian and curator, Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw and Fatos Üstek, independent curator and writer, London – has searched worldwide for innovative, complex and multiform artistic proposals and selected 20 projects.

illy Present Future Prize

Launched in 2001 in partnership with illycaffè, the Present Future Prize has led to the creation of a pool of exceptional talents and has contributed to the growth and attention on emerging artists. Awarded by a jury of international museum directors and curators to the most interesting project among the ones exhibited in the section, since 2012 the Prize offers the winning artist the unique opportunity to exibit in the prestigious setting of the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with the museum itself.
A solo show by the awarded artist of the past edition – Rachel Rose (High Art, Paris) – will open at the Castello di Rivoli on November 6, 2015 on the occasion of Artissima.
