The event gains the official support of the Province of Torino and the Piedmont Region.
In terms of the growth of the fair’s reach on a national level, the accent was on the city of Napoli, in the concrete form of a selection of important galleries based in that city, the participation of the Capodimonte Museum with the Contemporary Art section, and a series of collateral events and conferences on Napoli.
New developments in 1997 included the debut of the “Solofoto” section for national and international galleries working only in the field of photography.
