Nunca encontramos a Satoshi is the name of the Caribbean bar envisioned by Radamés “Juni” Figueroa (San Juan, Puerto Rico, 1982) and presented during Artissima 2021: a colourful, bright work of architecture is at the core of the work, a vernacular location that functions simultaneously as a dance floor and a gathering point.
In the work, private space expands with a central focus on human relations, and the audience becomes an integral part; the structure is designed to be a living, shared place in which to reconnect with others, to party, relax and dance. The architecture itself, in turn, incorporates different contaminations: structure, Caribbean references and colours intertwine with references to western art history.

Radamés “Juni” Figueroa is the winner of the illy Present Future 2020 Prize. The award, now in its 21st edition, is supported by illycaffè and assigned to the artist deemed most interesting in the Present Future section, which has been a launching pad for new talents for many years. Thanks to the contemporary approach of illycaffè, the illy Present Future Prize makes an important contribution to the growth of emerging talents, confirming the innovative role of the fair in support to international artists.
