All About Archivorum!

What is an archive, and what can it become? Founded by collector Mia Rigo Saitta, Archivorum is an international non-profit platform working across research, publishing and education to preserve, activate and transmit artistic practices. Its work unfolds through interconnected initiatives. ArchivorumARK pairs established artists with postgraduate researchers to investigate and activate their archives. The Archivorum Library in Turin brings together more than 6,000 volumes devoted to artists’ books, contemporary art and editorial archives. ArchivorumP100 traces the niche publishing landscape across Archivorum’s European libraries, while Archivorum×M develops new books by artists in collaboration with independent publishers. At Artissima, this commitment continues through Archivorum Unwritten, a new publishing initiative connected to the fair’s Monologue/Dialogue section. The project supports an artist’s book, transforming research and material yet to find a published form into a new publication. In “All About Archivorum!”, these different strands converge around the archive and the artist’s book as living spaces for research, dialogue, experimentation and transmission.
