Handbook for Travellers Art, literature and collective writing

The presentation of Manuale per viaggiatori, published by Krill Books in the Attese series curated by Flavio de Marco, opens a conversation about writing in Marinella Senatore’s practice. The book brings together screenplays developed with hundreds of participants and the artist’s own short stories, connecting the personal act of storytelling with the creation of shared narratives. Through the book, the talk explores a practice in which literature, cinema and visual art inform one another. How does a story written together take shape? What happens to an individual voice when it encounters other voices? And how do memories and experiences change as they move onto the page? Writing emerges as a practice that has always accompanied Senatore’s work: a space for listening, invention and the negotiation of authorship, where participants help shape both the form and the meaning of a story.
