Panel

The panel addresses accessibility as a cultural right and inclusion as a practice capable of redefining the social role of contemporary art. Through concrete examples of public projects and dialogue with museum and artistic experiences, it explores the potential of contemporary languages to broaden narratives and cultural participation, transforming accessibility and inclusivity into a driver of cultural innovation. Multisensoriality, technologies, public–private collaborations, and the evolution of museum education emerge as central tools to shape an inclusive model of the museum, able to embrace a plurality of audiences and narratives. Also central to the discussion are the practices of artists with disabilities, whose work questions dominant aesthetic and cultural codes, introducing critical perspectives on corporeality, interdependence, and social stereotypes. The panel thus underlines the specificity of contemporary languages in generating new forms of access, participation, and cultural production, making inclusion a catalyst for collective growth and for the transformation of curatorial paradigms.
