Carol Rama Award

The Carol Rama Award 2025 has been awarded to Zoe Williams presented by the gallery Ciaccia Levi, Paris and Milano.

Promoted by Fondazione Sardi per l’Arte since 2020, and starting this year also by the GAM of Torino, will be awarded to the artist whose research and work embody the ideals of unconventional female creativity and artistic freedom as represented by Carol Rama through her work and personality.

Their remarks: We confer Zoe Williams the Carol Rama Award to acknowledge her long-lasting research on the work of Carol Rama; for her reference to her vocabulary, sensual symbolism, and emotional landscape; for her freedom in embodying the irreverent, seductive, and tense spirit of Rama; and for her ability to foster the artist’s legacy by keeping her powerful gaze alive today.

The prize is inspired by Pinuccia Sardi’s strong passion for Carol Rama; the selected artist will receive a grant of 2,500 euros to support their practice.
