Artissima New Entries Fund

The Artissima New Entries Fund, supported directly by the fair, has selected for its fourth edition the galleries WHOISPOLA, Varsavia, Lutnița, Chișinău and Clauda, Prague. The fund contributes to the participation of three galleries in the New Entries section, dedicated to emerging international galleries and their most innovative proposals.

Jury: Sandro Droschl, Director, Halle Für Kunst Steiermark, Graz, Lauriane Gricourt, Director, Les Abattoirs Musée – Frac Occitane Toulouse, Damien Zhang, Director, Aranya Art Center, Aranya.

“The jury expresses its appreciation for the quality and boldness of the curatorial proposals of three participating galleries: Lutnița presented a balanced and considered project, dedicated to emerging artists of different generations. The artists of WHOISPOLA demonstrated how contemporary practice can draw inspiration from tradition with sensitivity and awareness. Clauda, finally, proposed an extraordinary solo presentation of Tereza Kalousová, capable of interpreting to perfection the theme of Artissima: Fancy: A Flexible, Acrobatic Body.”
