Orlane per l’arte Prize

The 2025 Orlane per l’Arte Prize has been awarded to ZERO… gallery, Milano.

Promoted by Orlane, one of the most renowned luxury cosmetics brands, the prize is designed to support the research and entrepreneurial activity of one of the galleries taking part at Artissima.

Jury: Andrea Lissoni, Artistic Director, Haus der Kunst, Munich; Lolita Jablonskienė, Chief Curator, National Gallery of Art, Vilnius; Bettina Steinbrügge, Director, MUDAM, Luxembourg

Their remarks: The booth of Zero stands out for its radical curatorial gesture. The two sculptures by Michael E. Smith and Francesco Gennari create a deeply moving encounter, a special moment of togetherness that transcends the meaning of the individual works. The presentation is both captivating and meaningful unfolding within the almost basic structure of a booth. It talks about a profound sense of commitment and care towards the artists represented by the gallery – an attitude of generosity and care that extends from the works to their presentation. The jury believes that these two artworks belong together and should remain together forever.

The awarded gallery receives a prize of 10,000 euros. Founded in Paris in 1947, Orlane intertwines history, innovation and luxury in its DNA, celebrating art by recognizing the commitment of galleries in promoting the creative talent of artists.
